National Media Commission denies report on ban of mallams and fetish priest on television.

The Chairman of National Media Commission Yaw Boadu Ayeboafoh on Ashh FM today denied report circulating that the NMC has called for a ban of fetish priests and mallams on the television. Reports circulating earlier suggested that the Information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has said the office of the President had issued such a letter.

 News was circulating that this ban on mallams and fetish priests will be effective on Friday 1st May 2020. Today an interview with Yaw Boadu Ayeboafoh the Chairman of NMC on Ashh FM denied the circulating news. He continued by saying there is no law embarking on this ban for now but measure will be put in place. He advised Ghanaians to be conscious so they don't fall victim to these people.
